Cookie Policy

This page explains how Rachan Counsel uses cookies on our website and how you can control which types of cookies are active. We aim to be transparent and straightforward about our practices.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They help the site work correctly, remember your choices, and — with your permission — provide information about how the site is used.

Cookies are widely used and not harmful. They do not contain personal information on their own, but they can be linked to information you provide while using the site. You are in control of which optional cookies are active.

2. Cookies We Use

Essential Cookies

Always active — cannot be disabled

Required

These cookies are necessary for the website to function. They manage session state, maintain security, and enable core navigation. Examples: session identifiers, security tokens, and consent records.

Analytics Cookies

Optional — helps us improve the site

Optional

These cookies collect anonymised information about how visitors use the website, such as pages visited and time spent. We use this to understand which content is most useful and to improve the site experience. Examples: Google Analytics page view data.

Optional — personalised content

Optional

These cookies may be used to show relevant information or advertisements related to our services on other platforms. They track visits across websites to build a profile of your interests. You can disable these without affecting how the site works.

Preference Cookies

Optional — remembers your choices

Optional

These cookies remember settings you have chosen, such as language preference or region, so you do not need to re-enter them on each visit. Disabling them means some preferences may not be saved.

3. Third-Party Cookies

Some cookies on this site are placed by third-party services we use. These third parties have their own privacy and cookie policies:

Google Analytics — anonymised site usage statistics. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
Google Maps — embedded map on our contact page. May set cookies related to the map interaction.
Social Media Platforms — if you interact with social sharing features, the relevant platform may set its own cookies.

4. Cookie Duration

Session Cookies

Active only while your browser is open. Deleted automatically when you close the browser tab or window. Used for basic navigation and security functions.

Persistent Cookies

Remain on your device for a set period. Consent cookies typically last 12 months. Analytics and preference cookies range from 30 days to 2 years depending on the service.
