What Clients Say

In Their Own Words

SM

Somchai M.

Pattaya, Chonburi

"I came in having no idea what my options were, or even what Thai law said about my situation. Khun Pimchanok spent the whole first session simply listening and then explaining, without any sense of rushing. The written summary she gave me at the end was something I kept going back to for weeks. It made things feel possible when they had felt entirely stuck."

British Expat, Bang Lamung

"As a foreign national navigating Thai family law for the first time, I had very little idea what would happen or how the process worked. Rachan Counsel handled everything clearly and professionally. I always knew where I stood and what was coming next. There were moments when things moved more slowly than I hoped — family court tends to do that — but I never felt left in the dark."

Chonburi Province

"What I valued most was the pace. I was in a very emotional state when I first contacted them, and they did not treat my situation as a simple transaction to complete quickly. Khun Kraisorn was patient, returned calls promptly, and prepared documents that reflected exactly what I needed them to say. The arrangement we reached was as good as I could have realistically hoped for."

"The closing report at the end of my matter was something I did not expect to be as useful as it was. It laid out everything that had happened, what decisions were made and why, and what the final arrangement means in practice. I gave copies to my family overseas so they could understand the outcome. A thoughtful detail I have not seen from other legal practices."

Bang Saen, Chonburi

"I had spoken to two other lawyers before coming here and left both of those conversations feeling more confused than when I arrived. The difference at Rachan Counsel was immediate. They took time to explain what each option actually meant for daily life — not just the legal terminology — which is what I actually needed to make a decision."

Belgian, Nong Prue

"Khun Nattawut handled the cross-border elements of our situation with a clarity I had not expected to find locally. He was honest about the limits of what Thai law alone could achieve and when I needed separate advice from my home country. That kind of transparency — telling you when they cannot do everything — is unusual and worth a great deal."

Case Study — Unmarried Parents, Disputed Custody in Bang Lamung

The Challenge

Two parents — one Thai, one foreign national — had separated after several years together without formalising parental rights. Neither held a court-recognised custody agreement, and communication between them had broken down. The foreign parent was concerned about their ability to see the child if they left the country.

What We Did

We began with separate consultations to understand both priorities before any direct correspondence was initiated. Over six weeks of quiet back-and-forth, we drafted a parental arrangement that addressed primary residence, holiday access, and travel consent — all within the Thai legal framework and without requiring contested court proceedings.

The Outcome

A court-filed parental agreement completed within eight weeks. Both parents retained meaningful time with the child. The foreign parent was able to renew their visa with documentation reflecting their parental role. Both parties described the process as considerably less difficult than they had expected.

Case Study — Property Division Following Registered Marriage

The Challenge

A Thai couple with a registered marriage sought separation after twelve years. Their jointly registered property had become the central dispute, with both parties unsure of their rights under the marital property provisions of the Civil and Commercial Code. The husband had legal representation; the wife did not.

What We Did

We were engaged by the wife for full representation. After reviewing the title documentation and marital assets, we prepared a position statement and entered direct correspondence with opposing counsel. Three rounds of negotiation over two months produced a draft settlement that reflected the wife's legal entitlements under Thai law.

The Outcome

A negotiated settlement without court hearing. The wife retained her share of the property value, formalised through a court-filed divorce agreement. Our closing report documented the full process and the terms agreed, which the client used subsequently for separate financial planning purposes.
